diy: all in good time - lace watch bracelet
Sentimentality makes us hold on to things, even when they have long served their purpose. Case in point, I have been holding on to a watch for 13 years. This one’s not fancy at all, you’ll be able to score it for less than 500 bucks. But hey, it’s the first one that I bought, so….
Since I’ve been using it for a little less of half my life, the bracelet has given up and I’ve been replacing it several times - with lace.
Here is a tutorial, in case you’re interested on how I do it. :)
You may also sew in some beads or sequins to the lace if you like it to be a bit more chic! ;)
Had an itch to dig up my box of creativity and here’s what went down.
(counterclockwise) charms, jumprings, chain
Gathered scraps from other beading projects, made a chain from the jumprings, et voila!
while it’s hot! (playlist)
With the “scattered rain showers and thunderstorms” coming and going, you know we’ll soon be saying toodles(!) to the torrid kisses of the sun. What will you remember most fondly from the dog days? Road trips? All-nighters? Flings? Concerts? Did you go on that adventure you’ve been pining after for three years? Have you gotten rid of that person who pulls you down? Kindled a new flame? Finally dared to kick the ass out of that thing that scares you shitless?
Here’s a list of tunes to get the vibe and celebrate the best memories that summer brings; and urge you (while the weather bureau hasn’t dropped the official wet season declaration) to top what you reckon as the awesomest.

"I used to skate too!" is probably the lamest thing you can say to a professional skateboarder; being the one who uttered these words makes me the silliest person ever. For someone who usually doesn’t get starstruck, I got dumbfounded when I came face to face with this awesomeness.
A skate summit was held last March 31 for the Converse Asia Crown. The event included a competition; the winner gets to represent Asia in tourneys all over the globe (that, 50K and Converse Apparel).
It was when I met him.
The setup of the ramps was a letdown - many said so. Organizers, please talk with legit consultants next time!
Also present was Mike Anderson
I think I saw from them some head shaking and a bit of sneering, probably aimed at the obstacles, but being the pros that they are, they just went on doing kick-ass tricks.
See my fancy smile just right after I said stupid words above, it took me a lot after the embarrassment, I think I overdid it!
The whole gang - with Kenny
